You can experiment as much as you'd like and the worst that can happen is that you mess up a save game. This makes the changes to your save but keeps your scenarios clean. I recommend that if you'd like to adjust your forces, you edit your save game. I tried with patches + exporting/importing data but it didn't work :/

If someone could please help me figure out how to backup the original files it would be greatly appreciated. Unless you keep note of what exactly you edit, you might never be able to return the game to its original state. You are editing a preset scenario which will could lead to all sorts of problems down the line. There are 2 ways that you (the player) can edit the game to add an officer to your in-game force.They are:Īt least from my experiences, this one is not recommended.
